MidMichigan College is launching a grant-funded program called College NOW!, aimed at helping first-time college students start their journey to a college degree.

College Now! asks students to attend a college readiness session as they begin their courses to ensure they are connected to resources and ready to succeed. The session includes support focused on academic advising, registration, financial aid, mental health support, accommodations, and college readiness. Students will also receive a MidMichigan backpack containing school supplies, a laptop, and a $100 gift card. At the conclusion of the summer semester, those students who register for 12 or more credits at Mid for the Fall 2024 semester will get to keep their laptop as well.

College NOW! is free for students and a completed FAFSA is not required, but Mid’s Financial Aid team will be available to help students complete the FAFSA as they prepare for the Fall 2024 semester.
